Splash Pad Grand Opening

We’re excited to announce the Splash Pad passed inspections and is ready to go for opening day and we want to celebrate!
You are formally invited to the Splash Pad Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Saturday, May 27 at 11:00 a.m. where you can walk around and check out all of the features, speeches will commence at 11:30 a.m., and then let the splashing begin!!
This event is followed by the opening of the Park District of Forest Park Aquatic Center for the season at noon.
If you’d like to enter through the pool entrance and attend the ribbon cutting from the inside of the Splash Pad, you must have an Amilia account to check in. Create the account now to avoid lines at the door. We are not requiring re-entry for our regular opening day aquatic center hours.
The pool entrance is open for the ribbon cutting from 11:00-11:15 a.m. Should you still wish to attend after 11:15 a.m., the ceremony can be viewed from the sidewalk on the east side of the Splash Pad.
This video consists of at least one photo per work day of the project’s progress from start (Sept. 21, 2021) to completion (May 18, 2023).
