Park Board Meetings

The Board of Park Commissioners meets on the third Thursday of each month. All meetings are at 6:00 p.m. on the second floor of the Administration Building located at 7501 Harrison Street. These are open meetings; the public is invited to attend and express ideas as well as concerns.

    Special Thanks

    Pets

    Per section 2.03 of the park’s Conduct Ordinance Code, dogs are not permitted on the internal pathways of the park.

    Photography

    The Park District of Forest Park uses pictures of participants in its brochures and special ads to inform others of our recreational opportunities. Participation in district events and programs implies consent for the district to use photographs for promotional purposes. If you do not want a picture taken, please tell our photographer. If the picture has already been taken, please contact the Park District Office at 366-7500 and let us know that it should not be used.

    Youth Sports Organizations

    The Park District of Forest Park is proud to serve as home field for the Forest Park Youth Soccer Association. Registrations and games are held at the Park District, however the park district does not run these programs. Each of these programs is run by a board of parent volunteers who dedicate their time and energy to serving the youth of our community.

    Forest Park Youth Soccer Association offers Spring and Fall coed league play for youth from pre-kindergarten through 8th grade. For more information please see website at www.fpysa.org

    Total Compensation Package Information

    Pursuant to the requirements of 5 ILCS 120/7.3, we have made available in our Administrative Building, 7501 Harrison Street, Forest Park, Illinois, a list of all employees having a total compensation package that exceeds $75,000 per year. For purposes of this statute Total Compensation includes salary, vehicle allowance, insurance, vacation days, and sick days.

    Public Act 97-0609

    The Park District of Forest Park values its employees and the contribution they make to the  community and understand the importance of retaining quality employees in meeting the recreational needs of the community.

    As required by Public Act 97-0609 a list of employees expected to receive compensation greater than $150,000 is available six days prior to approval of the annual budget.  Within six (6) business days after approving the annual budget, the Park District is required to make available a list of all employees that are expected to receive compensation of greater than $75,000.  Compensation includes salary, health insurance, a housing allowance, a vehicle allowance, a clothing allowance, bonuses, loans, vacation days granted and sick days granted.

    Public Act 101-0504/HB 3263

    The Park District is required by Public Act 101-0504/HB3263 to post on our website a hyperlink to information on the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund’s website featuring the following information: (1) copies of all resolutions adopted by a municipality on or after January 1, 1995 to participate in the IMRF if such a resolution was required; (2) an annual report listing each municipality and the date each municipality first became a municipality that participates in the IMRF; (3) all documents pertaining to each municipality’s annual projected future contributions to the IMRF; and (4) information about the amount of each municipality’s past required contributions to the IMRF for each year of participation on or after January 1, 1995 and before, if available.
