Roos Development Projects receives the go ahead from Plan Commission

On Monday, February 6, 2017  the Village of Forest Park’s  Plan Commission gave the green light to the Park District’s Roos Development Project. The project now will head to the Village Council for final approval in the next few months. Plans for the project include a new building that will house a gymnasium and fitness center. The project will extend the Park District’s campus from Desplaines Ave to the Circle Ave bridge all along Harrison Street adding not only a new recreation building to the Park District, but also additional open space, a new playground space for older kids, a fitness trail and outdoor bathrooms for the east end of the park district campus.

Please check back for updates on the project’s status as it moves toward approval from the Village Council.
